Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I sign up for class?

You will need to create an account through Mindbody Online to register for class with us. Click the button on our home page that says "Sign me up!" that will direct you right to the Mindbody site and prompt you to create an account if you have not already done so. From there you can view our entire schedule and purchase classes online.  Space is VERY limited, all clients must be pre-registered for a class in order to participate. We cap our classes at 11 people. If you attempt to sign in for class and are "wait listed" you can be bumped into a class up to an hour prior. Be sure your email notifications are turned on through MindBody to insure that you are aware of your status. Mindbody is also an app available on any smart phone. Get the App and sign up on the go!

Does Diamond Barre have parking?

There is street parking available along Asbury Ave and surrounding streets, please allow a few extra minutes during busy times to find parking. Don't forget to feed the meters when in season!

What should I wear to class?

Please wear comfortable workout attire. Grippy socks are required for class! Custom Diamond Barre grip socks are available for purchase at the front desk ($10-$12). Our floors are all hardwood, you WILL slide in normal socks. You may not enter the studio without socks on! Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. We have a changing room and cubbies for you to safely store your belongings while class is in session. 

Do I need to bring anything with me to class?

Nope! We provide all required equipment for class! Just bring a water bottle if you wish. Water is also available for $1 in our "Coffee Barre". 

"I have never taken a barre class, and have no experience in dance. Can I still come to a Diamond Barre Fitness class"?

Definitely! Diamond Barre is not a dance class. We do use some technique and terminology commonly heard in dance class in an effort to tone, lengthen, and strengthen muscles you would not normally target in any other fitness class. However, you do not need any dance, yoga, or pilates experience. Our classes are all one level and all beginner friendly! Modifications are available in every exercise to cater to all skill levels. Whether it's your first barre class or your 500th our instructors will make you feel comfortable and knowledgeable in every single class. Our instructors are also well versed in pregnancy modifications and modifications for injury. Don't be afraid to ask! We are happy to help in any way. 

Do I need to do anything special before my first class?

After you have created your MindBody online account and have signed into your first class, please arrive to the studio 10- 15 minutes early. Our front desk Barre-tender will have you sign a consent waiver. If you are pregnant you must also provide us with a doctors note. Having trouble signing in online? No worries, you can shoot us an email, call the studio, or send us a message on Facebook or Instagram and we will be happy to get you signed up for your desired class time. 

What happens if I'm late for class?

Classes start promptly at their scheduled times. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow enough time to check in at the front desk, store your belongings and find your favorite spot at the barre. Many times our instructor is also our front desk person- in this case our front door will be locked while class is in session. For the safety of all of our clients, their belongings; and to keep distractions to a minimum, no one will be allowed into the studio after class has started. Thank you in advance for your understanding in this matter.
